Prabal Gurung

Born in Singapore and raised in the Kingdom of Nepal's Kathmandu, his career started to take off when he apprenticed at several local production/fashion houses and designed with Manish Arora while studying at New Delhi's National Institute of Fashion Technology, India.
Way before his position right now, he had already gained lots of experience in the fashion industry. 1999, he moved to New York City and interning for Donna Karan when also attending Parsons School of Designs at the same time, where he was awarded as the Best Designer in his first year at the annual Parsons / FIT design competition. Then he spent two years in Cynthia Rowley's design team after graduated from Parsons. Not just that, soon after, he became the design director at Bill Blass for five years until this year he took the chance to launch his own line of designer apparel.

Non è una blogger ma nel suo caso l’off topic è più che meritato: nella gelida Russia, nella redazione di Harper’s Bazaar, lavora una giovanissima editor di moda il cui stile non è passato sicuramente inosservato, tanto che riviste di settore, blog e paparazzi, non si perdono ogni suo nuovo outfit. Miroslava Mikheeva Duma, è una giornalista di 24 anni (editor di punta dell’edizione russa di Harper’s Bazaar) e rappresenta ciò che molte donne vorrebbero essere ed ha ciò che moltisisme donne vorrebbero possedere: è bella, è giovane, è ricca, è professionalmente affermata, alla sua giovane età è già sposata con un magnate russo, ed è l’icona di stile della nazione
A notare lo stile eclettico, raffinato e sempre perfetto di Mira è stato l’occhio attento e geniale dell’autore di The Sartorialist, che l’ha immortalata in numerosi scatti durante la Paris Fashion Week. Prada, Gucci, Miu Miu e Dior sono solo alcune delle griffe preferite da Mira, ma soprattuto la sua passione, stando agli scatti diffusi in rete, sembrerebbe essere la Birkin, la borsa icona di Hermès, di cui la giovane editor possiede quasi una collezione. Unica pecca di Miroslava è che ama particolarmente la pelle di coccodrillo e le pellicce, so che vive nella fredda Russia, ma esisotno tessuti sintetici che possono dare lo stesso conforto e calore, la differenza è senza dubbio il costo, ma evidentemente i tanti zeri sul cartellino hanno un fascino maggiore per lei.
